It is often said that if you cannot install them, you cannot use them :p

However, everybody starts somewhere Smile

When i started out (a while back) i used apache2traid , it automatically installs apache, php, mysql, perl, cgi, python and more Smile It also comes with a few premade scripts such as php-nuke, phpmyadmin (very useful).

The official site for it is at http://apache2triad.sourceforge.net/ .

Like i said it was ages ago that i used it, it was being regularly updated, i am unsure of its development of the moment but it may be worth looking into Wink

well i would say try phptriad its the coolest software i have ever seen Smile

You can search it on google or download it from download.com it automatically installs php, mysql and apache and also it comes with phpmyadmin, cgi and many more

It also configures itself you just need to install it and go to start > programs (your operating system) > phptriad and start apache and than agin start mysql and you are set

apache start will open a dos window and it will stay on your taskbar and mysql will open a dos window and it will go

and now you are ready to work on it just open IE and type localhost it will open the fron page Smile

well the best would be before use you go through readme.txt once Smile

cheers Smile

I have a better suggestion. Leave MS $hit Windows which is not window , mainly a open Door in Internet World - and migrate to linux, you will get everything together.

Regards.

Installing Apache/PHP/MySQL on a Windows system isn't hard. I've done it on this machine (XP Pro), and all 3 work well. Just a little config file editing and some minor MySQL setup and you should be good to go. I think you're better off learning how to do these things manually, as opposed to an all-in-one install approach.

Installing in Win $oft is not hard, because verything is automated and Operating System dependent, for this reason I hate those really. My system, my configuration, my need, but it is still not under my control Razz , I really don't like the concept, please don't take it personally.
