Symptom

When you open System Restore Window (rstrui.exe) and click the System Restore Settings link in the Welcome to System Restore screen, nothing may happen. But, it's supposed to open the System Restore Properties dialog. However, you can still access the System Restore settings using My Computer, Properties sheet.



Resolution

_Temporarily_ disable third-party script blockers, anti-virus application and try again. If that does not help, type the following commands in Start, Run dialog

regsvr32 wshom.ocx

regsvr32 jscript.dll

regsvr32 urlmon.dll
