"Action Canceled" error while opening Device Manag

When you open Device Manager (devmgmt.msc), you may encounter an error message Action Cancelled with the following details:

Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.

Resolution

This is caused due to missing CTreeView Control - {CD6C7868-5864-11D0-ABF0-0020AF6B0B7A} registration information is missing.

To fix the problem, type this command in Start, Run dialog:

regsvr32 dmocx.dll

If the dmocx.dll file is missing, extract a copy from Windows XP CD-ROM or the ServicePackFiles folder.
