"Web Document" tab is missing when you check the properties of a URL file

When you right-click an Internet Shortcut (.URL file) and choose Properties, the Property Sheet may display only the General tab and the "Web Document" tab is missing. This happens if the Property Sheet handler for the Internet Shortcuts is missing



Resolution

To resolve the issue, type the following command in the RUN box:

regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll

Alternately, you can try this:

Click Start, Run and type CONTROL INETCPL.CPL. Select the Programs tab and choose Reset Web Settings. Click OK, OK.
