How fast can a normal Null Modem cable transfer files?
Q. "What speed file transfer can we expect from a normal RJ-25 null modem cable?"
"If you are talking about RS-232 (serial interface), you will become a fossil before you get your files moved. Maximum performance will be 115 kbps. If you have RS-422 the maximum becomes about 450 kbps."
