Error Msg: “Some components of Active Shield are either missing or might not have been installed properly.


The above error msg is related to McAfee Product Installed on the uer Computer. This error occurs if one or all the files, viz., ManInstAXC.bat, Mcgdmgr.dll and Mcinsctl.dll are corrupted or lost. To Resolve this problem quickly, you can follow the below steps:


McAfee ActiveX Controls Installation Instructions:

1 Download and save McAfeeAXC.zip to your desktop.

2 Double-click McAfeeAXC.zip to open and save (or extract) the contents to your desktop.
Note: There will be three files in the zip file (ManInstAXC.bat, Mcgdmgr.dll and Mcinsctl.dll).

3 Locate and double-click ManInstAXC.bat to execute.

4 Once the two files: Mcgdmgr.dll and Mcinsctl.dll have disappeared from your desktop the ActiveX Controls have been successfully installed and registered.

Under certain conditions, you may experience problems installing the ActiveX controls from McAfee. This will cause the website to believe you have not enabled the ActiveX controls or you have clicked 'No' on the ActiveX certificate which results in a message 'ActiveX must be enabled' and/or 'An error occurred while downloading'.
